Ali Zand Vakili
Born: February 16, 1986, in Shiraz, Iran

Ali Zand Vakili is a celebrated Iranian singer, composer, and music teacher known for his soulful voice and mastery in various musical styles. His artistic journey began in childhood, singing and playing the tonbak. In 1998, he became one of the first entrants of the Shiraz Music Conservatory, where he studied for three years, learning the santour, piano, and tonbak. In 2002, he advanced to the Tehran Conservatory of Music, graduating with honors. Zand Vakili gained prominence with the release of his iconic piece, “Lullaby,” and has since become a respected figure in Persian music. He is currently regarded as a music expert.

  • Winner of the Golden Statue for Best Composite and Experimental Piece of Music outside the album, as voted by the public at the third annual celebration of Our Music for the piece “Tarshro” (composed by Darkoob, sung by Ali Zand Vakili).
  • Winner of the Golden Statue for Best Fusion and Experimental Music, as voted by the public, at the fourth annual music festival for the piece “Lullaby”. Upon receiving the award, Zand Vakili expressed:
    “I am happy that this piece was able to receive the award for the best piece, thanks to the efforts of Alireza Afkari, Afshin Moghadam, Mahmoud Shobiri, Sepehr Sahebi, and Saeed Zamani.”
  • Winner of the Golden Statue for Best Fusion and Experimental Music, as voted by the public, at the fifth annual music festival for the piece “Believe Me”. Reflecting on this achievement, Zand Vakili said:
    “Thank you to the composer, songwriter, and arranger. In memory of my father, be the child of art, not the child of the father.”
